getting started

  1. Open PomodoroWidget. The app is a settings screen — the actual timer lives on the Home Screen widget.
  2. Tap Enable notifications so iOS can alert you when a session ends.
  3. Long-press your Home Screen, tap +, search PomodoroWidget, and add the small widget.
  4. Tap a preset (5, 30, or 60) or the Start button on the widget to begin a focus session.

common issues

Widget countdown isn't moving

The widget ticks every 15 seconds on a live countdown. If it looks frozen, remove the widget and add it back from the gallery — that forces iOS to rebuild its timeline.

Notifications aren't firing

Open the app. The notifications section at the top shows your current permission status. If it says blocked, tap Open Settings to grant permission in Settings → PomodoroWidget → Notifications.

Timer state looks wrong after reinstalling

Deleting the app removes all saved state. The widget will show the default 30-minute preset until you start a new session.

Break starts automatically — can I turn it off?

Yes. In the app's Behavior section, turn off Auto-start break. When focus ends, the widget will show a “Time's up” state and wait for you to tap Break or Reset.
